RAISE THE WOOF
Support Berea ARF's Campaign to Build a New Shelter for Stray, Abandoned, and Homeless Pets
Something we have strived for, but simply haven't had the space to do are community programs and resources for current pet owners or adoptive families. With 16.2 acres of land, one of the greatest assets to the community will one day be walking paths and exercise areas that will not only be used by our shelter animals but will also be open to the public. Eventually, these paths will feature beautiful landscapes that pets, and humans can enjoy together.
In the future, our new facility will offer a wellness clinic. This clinic will allow us to provide microchipping and vaccination services to the public at discounted rates, much like we currently offer at off-site events.
Another big issue that plagues communities across the country is the increase in the number of stray and feral cats. At our new facility, we will expand our trap, neuter and release program for feral cats. It is exactly what it sounds like: Cats are humanely trapped and taken to a veterinarian to be neutered and vaccinated. After recovery, the cats are returned to their home—their colony—outdoors. Kittens and cats who are friendly and socialized to people may be adopted into homes.
If you are excited to see these features in our community, please consider donating to Happy Beginnings Raise the Woof New Shelter Campaign. Help us achieve our mission:
Provide compassionate, quality care for companion animals in need with no time limit on placement into forever homes

Larger cages, more room, and space outside to run and play in the grass or walk on trails are just a few of the benefits for Dogs.
The new shelter provides enhanced retreats and a free-range area where cats can bask in the sun and enjoy time with their friends.
Our new facility will include a "Get-Acquainted" space, where you and your family can get to know your potential pet.
